Swim log:

I can actually post a swim log now. I swam today, not the floating around on an air mattress, playing volley ball with a beach ball, diving for things at the bottom of the pool, or doing cannon balls. The lap type swimming that eventually might enable me to swim during one of those swim, bike, run type of races.

The people there were very friendly, and I think that kinda by the way the Coach looked at me that maybe she had a bit of a laugh at my expense watching me trying to do the whole breathing thing. Swimming is a lot harder than I thought. I have had a pool since well forever. But I've never swam laps just the whole playing like a kid kind of swimming.
I live less than a mile from a lake and swam and water skied, tubed, even snorkeled...but never swam laps. The reality is that it is really hard. I never realized how much work it is. My heart felt like it was going to pop out of my chest, it felt great.
I'm in ....Coach Jen said it'll take me about 4 weeks just to get the breathing thing down correctly. This will do wonders for my endurance. Just when you think you can't get winded anymore, try swimming!
